How do I register?
Complete our registration form and we'll get you signed up. Registration takes about 10 minutes.
Will I have internet access?
Yes, the classroom has a T-1 connection, and the classroom computers are networked for internet access.
What about computers?
We provide classroom computers, but many students prefer to work on their own laptops in class. If you decide to bring your own computer, please let us know. We will put your computer on our network (wireless available) so you can have in-class internet access.
How long will I be in class each day?
You'll be in class from 9:00 AM until around 6:00 PM each day, with breaks for lunch and an afternoon walk. You'll have evening access to the computer lab, in case you'd like to work on an individual project or review some of the day's lecture material.
How many people will be in my class?
Generally, between 10 and 18 students are in class.
What should I bring?
- Casual clothes
- Hiking boots or athletic shoes (for the daily afternoon walk)
- A camera (optional)
- A swimsuit in the summer
- A calling card
- A project to work on in the evenings, if you'd like some extra help from other students and your instructor
- An absorbent brain
What about planning flights?
Once you've registered for class, plan to arrive the day before your class. We'll pick you up at the Atlanta airport (ATL). Pick up times are usually 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 8:00 PM (adjusted according to students' actual arrival times). Please ensure that your flight to Atlanta has a scheduled arrival no later than 7:00 PM. Plan to depart on the last day of class, with a departure time no earlier than 4:00 PM.
What are the accommodations like?
You'll have a private room and a private bath. The rooms are a short walk from the classroom, dining room, and common areas.
Can I bring a spouse or friend with me?
Certainly! There is an additional charge of $67 per extra person per day (plus tax), and we need to know in advance that you're bringing someone with you.
What are the meals like?
You'll have a large hot breakfast each morning. Lunches are usually salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Dinners are a variety of hearty, tasty meals including salad, entrees, bread, sides, and dessert. You'll also have drinks and snacks available in class. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know. We'll make every effort to meet your needs.
Will I have cell phone access?
Yes, but cell phone coverage is sporadic. If you need to make and/or receive a lot of calls during your stay, please bring a calling card.
Are there laundry facilities available?
There aren't any washers and dryers on site, but you can arrange to have items laundered for a fee.
When do I need to pay? What forms of payment are accepted?
You'll have a due date on your invoice. Regardless, we must receive payment before the first day of your class. We accept major credit cards and checks for our US classes.
Are classes in Germany taught in English, as well?
Yes, all classes are taught in English, no matter if held in the US or in Europe.
