
Apache instructor Ken Coar is the author of Apache Server for Dummies, co-author of the Apache Cookbook, and a long-time open source developer and evangelist.
Ken began working with the Apache Web server in 1996, and was invited to join The Apache Group in 1997. He was on The Apache Software Foundation's board of directors from its incorporation through May, 2006, and led the ApacheCon project from 1999 through 2007. He has worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, Process Software, Compaq, and IBM, and has given numerous presentations world-wide about Apache, open development methodologies, and distributed collaboration.
