Veitshöchheim, Germany - April 20, 2006 - Get the most out of WWDC - learn Cocoa first: Cocoa Bootcamp in Germany, July 17-21, 2006

Big Nerd Ranch Europe, a leading provider of intensive classes for developers and systems administrators, announced the next opportunity to learn Cocoa from Aaron Hillegass in Europe, Cocoa Bootcamp on Tiger 10.4. With Cocoa being the native way of developing robust and fully integrated applications for Mac OS X becoming a Cocoa programmer is essential for those planning to visit Apples upcoming World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in August this year. At WWDC the most recent innovations on Mac OS X will be presented to developers worldwide.

Proving once again that what is old is often new, this intensive, five day course on programming in Cocoa returns to Europe on the heels of the latest class in Atlanta, which was the Big Nerd Ranch's best-selling class to date. The sell-out class offers the most exhaustive course on Cocoa Programming available, promising students not only an introduction to the fundamentals of coding in Cocoa, but guiding them through some of the most challenging advanced features of Tiger. Whether the student is a novice or has used Cocoa before and wants a deeper understanding, students will emerge from the class ready to put his or her newly found Cocoa coding talents to work.

Students attending the class should have some experience in Java or C++ programming in order to maximize their experience in the Bootcamp. The primary text of the class, Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X, was authored by course instructor, Aaron Hillegass, and provides the framework by which lessons are taught. Short lectures are immediately followed by programming sessions where students can immediately exercise these new principles. By the end of the five days, participants will be able to write complex applications for Mac OS X, demonstrate fluency in Objective-C, tap the potential of Interface Builder and Xcode and have a clear understanding of the design patterns inherent in Cocoa on Tiger 10.4.

"As Apple changes the Cocoa frameworks, this class continues to evolve and improve." commented Aaron Hillegass, Cocoa Bootcamp instructor. "For example, our coverage of CoreData and Bindings has become deep and sophisticated. On your own, you could waste months trying to learn what we cover in one week."

Course topics cover the spectrum of fundamentals and advanced topics in Cocoa programming: Objective-C, updating menus, printing and paginations, sheets, controls, custom views, and user defaults to higher level topics like XCode, Interface Builder, CoreData, OpenGL, frameworks, and NSTextView. Students attending the class get to learn about the secrets of Cocoa bindings, a concept essential to know to get a deeper understanding of the Cocoa framework itself, as pointed out in the blog of a former student who already took the class at Kloster Eberbach -- Cocoa Bootcamp: A Review.

Students signing up before June 2, 2006 apply for the early bird fee and save €200.
