Veitshöchheim, Germany - May 22, 2006 - PHP for the summer break - Achieve Excellence at the PHP 5 Bootcamp in Europe, August 14-18, 2006
Big Nerd Ranch Europe announces a new opportunity to participate in the popular PHP 5 Bootcamp in Europe. Instructor Mark Fenoglio will teach the five-day intensive class at Kloster Eberbach near Frankfurt, Germany, August 14-18, 2006. Students signing up before June 30, 2006 apply for the early bird fee and save €200.
The summer break is an excellent chance to prepare for upcoming PHP tasks and projects by developing mastery in using PHP to build modular websites and applications, understanding how PHP complements other web technologies such as CSS, XML and PDF, managing users and implementing rights hierarchies, and creating web services. PHP is a flexible scripting language that adapts to a variety of project needs, with the ability to immediately put learning into practice upon completion of the course. Students attending the class should be prepared to work hard while immersing themselves in one of the most popular and exciting emerging technologies in the industry.
The beautiful retreat environment of monastery "Kloster Eberbach" allows students to escape from the usual patterns and completely focus on improving their PHP skills while eliminating all distractions. PHP 5 Bootcamp at the Big Nerd Ranch Europe provides the ideal learning environment for system administrators, webmasters and web application developers seeking a dynamic and robust solution to their web-based database needs. The course itself is specifically geared to developers and project managers already familiar with scripting in HTML, WYSIWYG experts looking to break out of template-based web development and veteran scripting developers seeking inclusion of PHP in their skill-set.
"I think the thing that sets Big Nerd Ranch appart is their ability to change according to the classes needs. Organized, but unscripted. I learned exactly what I came to learn. This isn't because it was part of the curriculum. It was because our instructor (Mark) stayed late into the evenings to help me with my issues.", former PHP 5 student Henry Warren comments. "On top of that, I learned much more. I think the best part of all was just the caliber of the attendees. I would say that we lucked out but it sounds like Big Nerd Ranch constantly gets a high caliber of students to participate in their courses. Over all I would recommend their courses to anyone who is serious about taking their skills to the next level."
Mark will guide students through the fundamentals of the PHP language and beyond those basic principles engage students in building dynamic websites including web forms and email, scripting libraries, relational databases, and editing and publishing content. Security issues, as well, will be covered from basic functionalities as users and passwords, to cookies, session variables and design and interface challenges. Students will also cover advanced level issues such as integrating PHP 5 with CSS, XML, images, and PDFs.
